Reggae Falls

Located on The South-Eastern section of the island, neatly tucked away in a small village call “Hillside” St Thomas, you will find the Beautiful #Reggae Falls ( also known as Damhead).   Reggae Falls is not today what it originally was, for, in fact, the water from the Johnson River was dammed many, many years ago to make a hydro-electric station however it is no less spectacular than any other waterfalls on this beautiful island.

Cane River Falls

Just  nine miles outside Kingston you will find Bull Bay -an energetic, close-knit community, and at night, the coastline pulsates with rhythms from the various nightclubs that line the beach.

Cane River falls is hidden  in this eclectic community. It is a a local favourite and where Reggae legend Bob #Marley used to washed his beautiful locks.

Scatter Water Falls

Scatter waterfalls is one of the most unheard of jewels of Eastern Jamaica. Located in the small rural community of #Berrydale in the Rio Grande valley, you will this beautiful #ecotourism attraction.  At Berrydale you will meet a very friendly tour guide that will take you across the Rio Grande on a Bamboo raft to your destination.  Most of the visitors you will find at this location are locals, and #backpackers.

Tacky Falls

Located in the eastern parish of St. Mary you will find tacky falls. This is the most non commercialize falls on the entire island and if you visit chances are you will be there alone all day. The  falls is named after the #Coromantee slave Tacky, who lead the slave rebellion in 1760. There are no signs, no formal path, and plenty of hazards on the way to even reach the pretty obscure 60m tall (or higher) waterfall. If you are interested in visiting this falls then it is best to hike with a local guide.

Reach Falls

Reach Falls is located approximately 45 minutes east of Port Antonio, Portland and is named one of the most beautiful attractions in Jamaica. It  was first discovered by runaway slaves from plantations in the neighbouring parish of St Thomas who sought refuge in the hills of the John Crow Mountains

  It features a natural heart-shaped #Jacuzzi which careress every inch of your body with its cascading waters . While it is getting more and more popular, it is still relatively unknown, therefore, you can still find your escape at this magical waterfall neatly tucked away beneath the tall mystical trees of a beautiful #rainforest.

RAFTING ON THE RIO GRANDE

The Rio Grande is nestled in the bosom of the cool-cool hills of the Blue Mountains where it begins and is released into the open seas at St. Margaret’s Bay, Portland.

Why You Should Visit Jamaica

A lot of people have claimed that Jamaica would be the best  Caribbean  island to visit, hands down. Jamaica vacations are jam-packed  with  beautiful attractions and the warmest people. This is why most   travellers and jet-setters would list Jamaica as one of the best   Caribbean travel destinations. If you’re still not convinced, here are   the top five reasons why Jamaica has been dubbed as the best Caribbean   island to visit:

1. Welcoming people. As soon as you land from the  airport, you will immediately be greeted by local Jamaican people   excited to provide you the best Caribbean vacation. The people in   Jamaica are some of the most warm, friendly and hospitable people that   you will ever meet, and because they are used to their island being a   favorite tourist spot, they are more than willing to give you a tour of   the area and show you around.

You will see  fishermen  walking along the road with fish that they just caught, you  will see a  farmer bringing in fresh eggs from the farm in the mornings.  You will  see the market overflowing the fruits and vegetables from local  farms.  The spicy curry and jerk seasoning is something that I guarantee  you  will want to take home and make for your family well after your   Jamaican vacation.

4. White sandy beaches. Pristine and exotic  white  beaches are probably one of the most important recipes to the best   Caribbean travel, and a vacation to Jamaica is the place to be. The   water is crystal blue and the beach sand is clean and white. One of the   most beautiful beach areas you can imagine.

5. Great Culture. When you take your vacation in  Jamaica, it is highly recommended to hire  a local tour guide that can  take you around the island to show you the  culture of local Jamaicans.  Learn how they shop for their meat, or buy  their fresh fish. Drink a  coconut by the side of the road. Learn more  about the Rastafarians or  old traditional healing. Make sure to soak in  the culture as well as  the great food.
